Just Cause 4: Is There a Difficulty Trophy or Achievement? What You Need to Know

Recommended Videos

Players can once again wreak havoc in the name of liberation with Just Cause 4, the latest entry in the storied series. If you’re looking to snag a trophy or achievement from the game based on difficulty though, you may wondering if there’s a difficulty trophy and achievement in Just Cause 4.

Put plainly, no, there is not a difficulty trophy and achievement in Just Cause 4. Instead, the game offers a natural progression of difficulty as you play through the game and take on more elaborate and well protected security forces and facilities.

In practice, this means the game will be at its easiest at the game’s beginning. Enemies will always act more as cannon fodder for Rico Rodriguez and his sizable arsenal of weapons and tech, and players will be able to play out their power fantasies with ease for the first few hours of the game.

As players progress however, the challenge of destroying a base or taking out mercenaries will ramp up at a steady pace.

This may present itself as enemies taking more blows before dying, more armaments appearing around bases and compounds or weather hazards throwing a wrench into your aerial maneuvering.

Of course, if players are out to experience more of a challenge, they can always seek out more dangerous bases on their own outside of the main quest. They’ll almost certainly provide more resistance than early mission bases and should provide plenty of opportunities for proving one’s skill at the game.

Hopefully this clears up any questions on whether there is a difficulty trophy and achievement.

Just Cause 4 is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. For more on the game, check out our Just Cause 4 wiki for everything you’ll need to know about the title’s gameplay, story and everything else.
