Rico Rodriguez is back to cause chaos in the latest installment of the Just Cause franchise, Just Cause 4. The team over at Avalanche Studios has been working to make sure that the crazy physics based action that Just Cause is know for has been cranked up to 11. With a new and improved multiple tether system, rocket boosters, and attachable balloons it’s sure to be the craziest entry yet, and it certainly seems ripe for multiplayer shenanigans.

The expansive open world is your playground to cook up havoc and take on challenges in unique and interesting ways. Whatever kind of creative scheme you want to try out is encouraged by Just Cause 4. With all the action, however, you might be wondering if your friends will be able to join in on it. Is there co-op multiplayer in Just Cause 4? We have the answers for you here.

Unfortunately there is no co-op mode available in Just Cause 4. A game of this size and nature seems well suited for a potential co-op experience, but it seems at this time there is nothing in the works. This doesn’t mean that Just Cause 4 will never have multiplayer, it could always be added in an update or DLC down the line, but currently there is none.

There is still plenty to do in the main game, and you shouldn’t let the lack of multiplayer stunt your creativity. The physics engine in Just Cause 4 is insane, and lets players destroy and grapple to just about anything they want. With the new weather system adding blizzards and tornadoes it is sure to shake things up quite a bit. Grapple onto a jet and fly directly into the eye of a tornado to see just what this game is capable of.

That is everything you currently need to know about co-op multiplayer, or lack thereof in Just Cause 4. For more tips, tricks, and guides be sure to check out our Just Cause 4 guide wiki. You can check out some of the insane content in their launch trailer.
