The patch notes for Fallout 76’s latest update are live, and so is this week’s edition of “Inside the Vault”, where Bethesda has provided additional details on future patches for the game.
As mentioned in Inside the Vault last week, Bethesda is still “hoping” that the next Fallout 76 patch will arrive at some point in “mid-December”. This next update will seek to address “stability and other concerns raised by the community”– a somewhat vague description that has also been reiterated from last week’s post.
This next (and only) update explicitly outlined, is scheduled for “December 18”. However, Bethesda also mentions at another point in the post that they’re “still determining the status of this update” and will let us know more “as this date approaches.”
It is also noted that if this patch does indeed arrive at some point in mid-December, it will be the last one this year. Bethesda plans to shift its focus to updates they already have in mind for the new year, “which will include new game content, many additional bug fixes, and more changes based on your feedback.”
Additionally, developers have noted that they are, in fact, keeping track of the ever-growing list of concerns regarding Fallout 76, and are “putting together a sizable known issues list” based on all the feedback they have been receiving. This known issues list is promised to become available in the coming days.
Moving forward, these Inside the Vault features won’t always contain information about upcoming updates. Instead, Bethesda plans to use these posts to detail “new game content and in-game events” that are planned for the future, “as well as community-created content, photo mode photos, and more.”
If there was something missing from today’s patch that you really wanted to see fixed, keep hope alive that another one will arrive sometime before the new year.
