Onimusha Warlords (Release Date: Jan. 11)

Onimusha Warlords, January 2019

There’s no holiday hangover this year. These are the seven best upcoming games to look forward to in January 2019. The year is starting off hot, starting with a popular franchise from Japan.

The first game in the popular Onimusha series, Onimusha: Warlords is back and better than ever with a remaster for current gen consoles.

As the swordsman Samanosuke Akechi, players must hack and slash their way through waves of demons as they make their way through an ancient castle.

As they do, they’ll harvest the souls of the damned to power themselves up, solve puzzles to progress further into the structure and prepare themselves to face down the evil forces that have dragged the castle into darkness.

The remaster boasts not only enhanced graphics, but a remade soundtrack and analog support as well, making it a great time to check out the oft-forgotten classic.
