What the Install Size Is for the Spyro Reignited Trilogy
Just like Crash Bandicoot and the N. Sane Trilogy before him, Spyro is back with a remastered trilogy. The three original Spyro titles (Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon) have been combined into one, releasing under the title of Spyro Reignited Trilogy.
Since it features three games, it is no surprise that the Spyro Reignited Trilogy is going to require a hefty download. Three games in one also means that the installation parameters are going to be a bit different as well.
Here is everything you need to know about what the install size is for the Spyro Reignited Trilogy.
In total, the Spyro Reignited Trilogy is going to require roughly 67.5 GB of space to install, with the box detailing a minimum of 55 GB for installation. While it isn’t all of the storage space that comes with base level PS4 and Xbox One consoles, which each have 500 GB of space, it still takes up a considerable amount of space.
What is unique about the Spyro Reignited Trilogy’s installation is that you don’t need the entire install to complete before being able to play the game.
Play During Installation
Since there are three games in the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, you’ll be able to play the first title, Spyro the Dragon, before the game completes its full installation. At 20 GB, you can boot up and start playing the original game.
Unfortunately, the same thing doesn’t work for the other two titles in the trilogy. In order to play Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon, you will need to wait for the other 47.5 GB to install to play them.
Honestly, that isn’t really a problem though, as most people will be playing the trilogy in chronological order anyway. So by the time you have sunk hours of nostalgia into Spyro the Dragon, the rest of the download will likely already have been completed.
That is everything you need to know about what the install size is for the Spyro Reignited Trilogy.
