Spyro The Reignited Trilogy has 108 shiny trophies to collect or achievements for Xbox One players. One of these is obtainable when going through Twilight Harbor. The What Really Grinds My Gears trophy and achievement requires you to destroy six gears spread across the level. Some are sneakier than others, and this guide should help you find where all six gears’ locations are in Spyro Reignited Trilogy.

Gear 1 Location – ‘What Really Grinds My Gears’ Trophy and Achievement – Spyro Reignited Trilogy

The first gear is located not far from the start of the level. Sprint ahead – Spyro’s levels are, luckily, as linear –, jump over the ledge and step into the first interior area. Let the blue portal take you to the top level but instead of rushing forward, pan the camera around 180 degrees. The gear should then be in full view, on the brick wall right in front.

Simply move towards it, jump using X on PS4 or A on Xbox One to cover a portion of the gap and breathe fire the gear’s way using Circle or B. That’s one out of six and the blue whirlwind will conveniently get you back up where you need to be.

Gear 2 Location – ‘What Really Grinds My Gears’ Trophy and Achievement

You’ll find the second gear further ahead, in a room with containers filled with green liquid. This gear’s a sneaky one, taking advantage of the darkness in the right corner just as you enter. Fire it up.

Gear 3 Location – ‘What Really Grinds My Gears’ Trophy and Achievement – Spyro Reignited Trilogy

Reaching the third gear requires a fair bit of backtracking through Twilight Harbor. Start by moving forward through the room with the green liquid containers and across the wooden bridge ahead until you spot a handle on the left side.

Interact with it to raise a portion of the bridge, then move forward and take the first right until you reach the top of the road with accelerator pads marked by green arrows. Once you’ve reached the top, turn around, start sprinting, so as to take advantage of the speed boost from the pads, and use the portion of the bridge you just lifted to boost yourself to the upper level of the building with the green liquid containers.

From there, you’ll have to glide down to the grated circular surface. It’s the only one not connected to anything else on the minimap.  Move forward and slightly to the right, until you reach its edge.

You’ll find the third gear near the door you exited after destroying the first gear, on a metal pillar right under a pipe going upwards. Jump, breathe some fire its way and you should be halfway through to getting the What Really Grinds My Gears trophy.

Gear 4 Location – ‘What Really Grinds My Gears’ Trophy and Achievement

To get to the fourth gear, you’ll have to move back through the room with the green liquid, past the raised portion of the bridge and take a left through the building instead of the path with the green arrows. Make a quick right, jump up the ledge, stop there and pan the camera to the left. That fourth cog relied a bit too much on you racing past it, it seems. A flame burst should teach it who’s boss.

Gears 5 & 6 Locations – ‘What Really Grinds My Gears’ Trophy and Achievement – Spyro Reignited Trilogy

The fifth gear is equally bad at hiding. It waits not much further ahead, in the left corner as you drop down from the room with the fourth gear. The sixth and final gear is found at the very end of Twilight Harbor, on the same platform as the “Return Home” sign. Once you see the sign, go around the first brick pillar to the left. The gear is casually leaning against the pillar, admiring the water. Do what dragons do and burn it.

That’s where all six gears in Twilight Harbor are found, making you the proud owner of the “What Really Grinds My Gears” trophy and achievement in Spyro Reignited Trilogy.
