In Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver, the twin sequels to Pokemon Red and Blue; Gamefreak did the unthinkable and allowed trainers to visit both the Kanto and the Johto regions all in one game. But can you go to Johto in Pokemon Let’s Go? Here’s what you need to know.

Unfortunately, if that was something you were looking forward to repeating then we’re here to disappoint you: in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee, there is no way to go to the Johto region. There are only eight badges to collect in these Switch reimaginings of Pokemon Yellow and one region to explore.

If Gamefreak decides to make a revised version of Pokemon Gold and Silver, then we’re sure that going back to Johto and Kanto would most definitely show up.

Downloadable content is always an option as well for Nintendo, so the possibility of the Johto region being added to the game is a possibility. We’ll be sure to update this article accordingly if anything were to change.
