How to Get the Fire Stone in Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee & Pikachu

Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee are finally out in the wild and will definitely hit you in those nostalgic Kanto-era feels. Included in the returning features is stone evolution. Let’s go over how to get the Fire Stone in Pokemon Let’s Go.

Outside of some newer features leaking in, such as Mega Evolution, for the most part, Pokemon Let’s Go is very faithful to the original games. Game Freak didn’t suddenly change the way that Pokemon evolved.

If something needed items like the Fire Stone before to evolve, it still does in Let’s Go Eevee & Pikachu.

Fire Stone Location

The easiest way to get the Fire Stone in Let’s Go Eevee & Pikachu is to simply buy it. The Celadon City superstore has an unlimited amount for sale.

You can easily turn up the heat and evolve your favorite Fire-type Pokemon whenever you want to. Fire-types are, of course, strong against Grass, Bug Ice, and is one of the few types able to hit steel effectively. It is weak to Ground, Water, and Rock.

Defensively, Fire-types are effective in resisting Bug, Fire, Ice, Grass, Steel, and is one of the types to resist Fairy.

What Pokemon Evolve Using the Fire Stone

Most of the Pokemon that evolve via the Fire Stone were introduced in Gen 1, so you don’t have to worry too much about missing out on anything unless you really like Simisear.

There are only three that use it to evolve and they are Growlithe into Arcanine, Vulpix into Ninetales and Eevee into Flareon.

A couple of important things you should know about. First, when a Pokemon evolves via a stone, they are done learning moves except in the case of Eevee. Eevee should be evolved ASAP if you want it to learn fire moves.

For everything else, try to make sure they level up as much as they can to the point where you have all the moves you want them to ever learn (they can still learn via TM and HM), before evolving them.

In the case of Let’s Go Eevee, know that your starter Eevee cannot evolve. Only ones that you find in the wild can.

That does for how to get the Fire Stone in Pokemon Let’s Go. Be sure to check out our wiki guide for more tips & tricks, such as how to get the other evolutionary stones like the Moon Stone.
