All Trade Evolutions in Pokemon Let’s Go
Trading is not only a great way to get new ‘mons, but also evolve some of your own as well. There are certain ‘mons that only transform after they’ve been traded. If you’re wondering who they are, here are all of the trade evolutions in Pokemon Let’s Go.
There are three main types of evolution in Pokemon Let’s Go: through leveling, using items, or trade. The first method is the simplest and most common method in the game. As you level your ‘mons, they will gain levels and finally change forms upon reaching a certain milestone.
Meanwhile, some ‘mons only change when you use items on them. These items are stones, such as the Moon Stone or Fire Stone, that you can either buy or find yourself while exploring in Pokemon Let’s Go. Unlike evolution through leveling, ‘mons who evolve using items can change at any level, so long as you have the right stone.
Then we have special ‘mons who only evolve after they have been traded away. As soon as the other player has the ‘mon, the trade evolution will start automatically regardless of their level. Needless to say, you’ll pretty much only want to do this method with a friend just so you can get your ‘mons back.

- Kadabra > Alakazam
- Machoke > Machamp
- Graveler > Golem
- Haunter > Gengar
How to Trade With Friends
If you want to transform one of those ‘mons through trade evolution, here’s how you set up trading:
- Press X to open up the menu
- Select the Communications option next to Save
- Choose either the local wireless or internet option depending on how you plan on trading
- Pick the Link Trade option
Make sure that you and your friend have a link code prepared because that’s how you’ll get matched. The link code is just three icons of ‘mons, so once you’ve set that up, you can begin the trading process right away in Pokemon Let’s Go.
