During the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct today Nintendo unveiled a new Adventure Mode called World of Light, with a haunting lyrical track backing up the trailer. Nintendo has now uploaded the full version of the song, which happens to be the main theme of Smash Ultimate, via the official website.
There’s an English version of the song and a Japanese version, both of which we’ve included down below. The actual lyrics for Lifelight talk about a cold night and the sky falling away, as fate spins and new life finding a way. You can see the full lyrics right here, via the Smash Wiki.
We still don’t know a whole lot about the World of Light Adventure Mode. It seems to be much more story involved than the past game, with Kirby being the sole surviving member of the Smash roster after an apocalyptic-like event. The footage we saw today showed characters journeying across a world map and interacting with different spots, while taking on evil-looking doppelgangers of other characters.
World of Light is just one of the many many modes that Smash Ultimate has including Spirits, Versus, All-Star, a variety of online modes, and more. The amount of content is truly staggering in Ultimate, and Nintendo even announced plans to add five more characters onto the games 74-character roster via DLC.
