Xbox Games With Gold
As 2018 starts to wind down, so too have the free game offerings from Xbox with their Gold subscription service. That doesn’t mean that the free games up for grabs are shoddy by any stretch of the imagination, and there are a couple of old titles here that might be fun to play over the holiday season.
Never Alone, for instance, features a very snowy and wintry setting where players take control of a young girl and her fox to investigate the cause of a harsh blizzard. If you live in a country with four seasons, this is a great, simple title to play while you’re keeping cozy indoors.
Somewhat surprisingly, Dragon Age II is also available as one of the free games for Gold members. While it was released to rather divisive reception so many years ago, if you take a look at the game with an objective lens, it’s actually not a bad game at all. Sure, the open world aspects are rather limited, but Dragon Age II was home to some seriously memorable and well-developed characters, and the story comes complete with good narrative branches as well.
