How to Unlock Intel in CoD Black Ops 4
Here’s everything you need to know about how to unlock intel in CoD Black Ops 4.
Intel has been a collectible of sorts in a number of different games in the series, and it’s back again in Call of Duty Black Ops 4. Unlocking intel will award you with some neat video and audio files that you can view.
If you’re not bothered about unlocking these extra bonuses, perhaps there is something else that may entice you into gaining the intel: trophies or achievements.
In order to get the Sleuth trophy or achievement, you’re tasked with unlocking every intel file in the game.
In past games, intel have been implemented in the single-player campaigns, but Treyarch’s game is the first Call of Duty game to not feature a single-player at all. The game contains the new Blackout mode, along with Zombies and the classic multiplayer mode, but no single-player campaign. Therefore, the question is, how do you unlock intel in CoD Black Ops 4?
In Black Ops 4, there isn’t a story mode, and some of the narrative is hidden behind audio and video files known as intel. In order to unlock intel in CoD Black Ops 4, you have to complete certain requirements in the game’s Specialist HQ mode.
These requirements can be found in the intel menu. To get here, go into the Specialist HQ menu, select story, then scroll right to find the intel menu.
Here is a list of all the challenges that will reward you with intel:
- The Black Hole: Earn 10 Bronze Stars
- The Immortal Candidate: Get 15 consecutive kills in 1 round without dying.
- West of Eden: Get 10 kills with each of the primary weapon classes.
- Rauls Way: Get 25 melee kills.
- The Running Woman: Get 50 kills with secondary weapons.
- The Panama Suspect: Earn 10 Silver Stars.
- Kiss of Death: Get 100 headshot kills.
- Dead Again: Get 50 kills using Scorestreaks.
- Eternal Sunshine… Get top of the scoreboard 25 times.
- Lost Highway: Get 100 kills using Specialist weapons and equipment.
- Mason’s Ladder: Get 150 kills on Veteran.
- From Vorkuta with WTF: Earn 10 Gold Stars.
- Angel Heart: Complete all Combat Immersion Challenges.
Upon earning your final piece of intel, the Sleuth trophy and achievement will pop, and you’ll find yourself one bronze trophy or 15 Gamerscore richer.
