How to Level Up Fast in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

Recommended Videos

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey continues to head in the direction established by Ubisoft in Origins. The game plays more like an RPG than a regular action-adventure game now. With that in mind, it’s also worth noting that character levels are much more important in the game now. You’ll need to keep a close eye on that as you’re completing side quests and progressing through the main story. Here’s how to level up fast in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

In order to gain levels, you’ll need to earn experience points. These can be obtained through basically everything you do in the game. Discovering new locations on the map, synchronizing viewpoints, clearing forts, and killing enemies will reward you with a small amount of experience.

Of course, main missions give a ton of XP, however, if you really want to get higher and higher in your levels to be able to face some of those harder main missions, you’re gonna want to spend most of your time doing side missions. Completing side missions will reward you with thousands of experience points.

Bring up your map which can be done from the menu within the game (or easily by pressing your PS4 controller’s touchpad). And then you’re going to want to look out for the yellow exclamation points. These indicate side missions, and they’re always worth your time. They’ll for sure give you experience as well as new gear and equipment.

In addition to that, you’ll also want to take on contracts and bounties. These can be obtained from the message board in various towns. Look out for the icon with three stacked horizontal lines. Those indicate message boards and let you take on shorter but rewarding missions.

Oh and you’ll also get a nice big ol’ burst of experience points when you kill some cultists or move your way up the ranks in either the arena or through mercenaries.

Basically, if you want to level up fast in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, keep completing side missions and other optional tasks you come across.
