How to Complete Thicker Than Water (Quest Guide) in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna makes a few changes from the original game, but what hasn’t changed is the huge amount of content to play through both main story and sidequests. The story of Torna takes place 500 years before the original game, and focuses on the band of heroes trying to stop the Aegis, Malos, from destroying the world. The expansion puts a big emphasis on completing sidequests, even gating your progress in the main quest at a certain point until you complete a certain amount of them. The Thicker Than Water quest is one that you’ll get partway through the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 expansion, after you’ve traveled to Gormott and then back to Torna. We’ll help guide you through this quest, which can be a bit tricky at one particular point.
In order to gain access to Thicker Than Water in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna, you’ll first need to complete Where’s the Boy Gone in Gormott, which you should find fairly early on. That quest is easy as all you need to do is follow a waypoint and reunite the siblings Kali and Kelly. Then later on in Torna, Hedwyn will ask you to bring his two children back to him, the ones you helped previously.
Now head to Gormott and go to the Hidden Hunting Camp, where you found the children the first time. You’ll be able to examine their tracks and make a red trail appear. Follow the tracks to the Singbreeze Bough in the middle of the Gormott map, then jump into the hole below the giant tree. You’ll see the children on a platform just ahead.
Now comes the tricky part. You need to jump into the cloudsea ahead of you and swim just behind the tree on your right, where you’ll find an opening. It can be hard to spot, but just swim right behind the tree then follow it up into the opening and talk to the kids. Now just head back to Torna and reunite them with the father. Voila, that’s another quest down in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna.
