How to Complete Further Driver Coaching (Quest Guide) in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna

Recommended Videos

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was filled with optional activities to undertake including a ton of different sidequests, and the new expansion, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna – The Golden Age, is no different. There’s a huge emphasis on sidequests in Torna, and you’ll even need to complete a certain amount to continue parts of the story. Of course, it’s ultimately worth it as the rewards for completing sidequests can be great. One such sidequest in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna is the Driver Coaching series of quests, in particular, Further Driver Coaching can be a little tricky to complete. If you don’t know what to do, that is.

While exploring Gormott in Torna, you’ll receive the Driver Coaching quest from a Nopon, which is a simple quest about completing combos. Then once you get further into the area of Torna, you’ll once again meet the Nopon who will give you the Further Driver Coaching quest, requiring you to complete a full Driver Combo a number of times. A driver combo in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 consists of Break, Topple, Launch, and Smash. The catch, of course, is that you have to complete the combo with the character you’re controlling.

The easiest way to do this is to control Addam’s team, as they have the ability to easily do Launch and Smash. Luckily, you can complete the combos against any enemy. During a battle wait for the other character to put the enemy in Break and Topple, Lora and Jin are very likely to do this, then immediately use Addam’s Rising Arc art to Launch the enemy. After that simply hit down on the D-Pad to switch to Mythra, which will then Smash the enemy, completing a Driver combo. Just rinse and repeat this until you’ve done it the required amount of times, then head back to the quest giver.

That’s all you need to know about completing Further Driver Coaching in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna. For more tips, guides, and tricks on the expansion, make sure to search Twinfinite.
