Act 2

During all the commotion at City Hall, Spidey did manage to spot one thing. Mr Negative, the guy responsible for all the Demons, is actually Martin Li. Feeling sorry for Miles, who just lost his father, Peter offers Miles a job at the homeless shelter. Where Martin Li has suspiciously gone on vacation from for a while.

Following the terrorist attacks at City Hall, Osborn calls in the help of Sable, a counter-terrorist group run by Silver Sable that are seriously well-equipped. Their presence around the city is certainly noticeable, and they’re intent on taking down Fisk’s men and the Demon’s in one fell swoop.

With Sable now on the scene, MJ and Peter continue working together to figure out exactly why Martin Li has a vendetta against Norman Osborn so badly. They agree it’s best to try and track him down and stop him before he succeeds in his plans.

Before he can do that, though, Peter goes to check in at his actual job at Octavius Industries to try and help Otto out with their prosthetic arms project again. They’ve improved considerably, but still have some niggling issues in, and can cause some mental instability, too. During Peter’s work at the lab, however, Otto does confide in him a bit and explains exactly why this work is so important to him. Otto has a degenerative disorder which will soon cripple his body, and so he’s intent on succeeding in order to improve his own life, as well as bringing a life-changing product to the world.

Having finished his work at the lab, Peter makes his way over to FEAST as Spidey, but spots Miles getting jumped by thugs. Spidey jumps in to help him, meets him, and the two share a special moment bonding. Spider-Man teaches Miles what he needs to know to punch and take on guys bigger and stronger than him, before disappearing off.

While all of this has been going on, MJ has been hard at work as she’d noticed that notorious drug dealer Tombstone has shown his face in town again after a while. She discovers that there’s something called Devil’s Breath that he’s involved in, and that’s why he’s back in town.

MJ and Spidey decide to team up once again here to put the pieces of the puzzle together. It turns out that Devil’s Breath is a chemical weapon that Mister Negative wants to use, but its origins are unknown.

Of course, then, Martin Li manages to somehow get his hands on Devil’s Breath itself, and concocts a time bomb that’s placed in the subway. Our favorite duo of Spidey and MJ manage to save the day just in time, defusing the bomb, and locking Mister Negative up behind bars on the RAFT with the rest of the criminals.

Now that Mister Negative is safely locked away, Peter returns to Octavius labs again, but sadly, Otto seems to have gone off the deep end a bit. The neural interface that he’s introduced the prosthetic arms system has clearly caused his mental state to destabilize, and Peter warns him that his mind can be permanently damaged if he continues to push this.

Otto momentarily acknowledges that the tech isn’t perfect, but then sees Norman Osborn on the news and goes into a fit of rage. He reconnects the neural interface, before staring down the lens of the camera right at us like a crazy person.

Shortly after, Yuri Watanabe is on the phone to Spider-Man, letting him know of some incredibly bizarre goings-on at RAFT. Apparently, a ton of prisoners have managed to escape and are running riot in the streets. Spidey goes over to investigate and manages to quell the criminal threat a little, but then things take a turn for the worst.

Vulture, Scorpion, Rhino, Electro, Mister Negative, and of course, Doc Ock all come together to give Spider-Man a good seeing to on a building roof. He has to be taken to hospital and treated, and honestly, we’re still unsure of how he got better without revealing his identity. Anyhow, that’s how Spider-Man’s Act 2 wraps up!
