New Gundam Breaker Will Release on Steam Next Week

In February, a listing on the Brazil Advisory Rating Board pointed to a new Gundam Breaker game, appropriately titled New Gundam Breaker. Surprisingly, this title was listed as not only coming to PS4 — not uncommon for these games — but PC as well. This information was confirmed back in March when Bandai Namco announced that the game would launch on June 22 on PS4 and on PC.

Sadly, while the PS4 version did launch on June 22, the PC version was pushed back to summer. At the time, they said this was to ensure players received the highest quality game possible.

“In order to deliver the highest quality experience for players, Bandai Namco Enterainment Europe have decided that New Gundam Breaker on PC needed further enhancements,” Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe said in a statement.

Now, a bit later than summer, it would seem for the first time ever, a Gundam game is coming to PC as Bandai Namco announced today that New Gundam Breaker would be coming to Steam next week on Sept. 25. The PC version of this game will include all PS4 updates including Gunpla, improved mechanics and camera, more chat options and more multiplayer options. There will also be two new battlefields for players to experience, the Class Room and Student Boardroom.

With this announcement today, Bandai Namco also announced that all future DLC for New Gundam Breaker will be released for free on both PS4 and PC. The PS4 version of the game sells for $39.99 so it’s safe to assume that the PC version of this game will sell for the same price, although a price can’t be confirmed as the Steam listing for the game is not yet available.

For the uninitiated, New Gundam Breaker is a new entry in the long-running Gundam series. In this entry, players will build Gunplas to destroy other Gunplas and continue upgrading and building until their mech is the best in the space system. It will feature both a single-player story mode and online multiplayer.
