How to Complete the Clearing the Fog Substory in Yakuza Kiwami 2
Yakuza Kiwami 2 brings the fan favorite story of Yakuza 2 into a new age with the Dragon Engine. The newest entry in the series is a combination of classic story elements, combined with new mechanics, new mini-games, new story sequences, and much more. Of course, like with any Yakuza game, substories make up a huge portion of the optional side content in Yakuza Kiwami 2. These are often hilarious and heartfelt self-contained stories that can net you a little reward as well. There are 72 substories in total, and they’ll keep appearing as you make your way through the various chapters in Yakuza Kiwami 2. One such substory you’ll run into later in the game is Clearing the Fog, by the riverfront in Sotenbori.
In Clearing the Fog, Kiryu meets an amnesiac who asks you to give him a “shock” to his system by fighting him. Just beating him down won’t do anything, however, as you need to take the shock literally and hit him with a stun gun. If you happen to have one in your inventory just equip it when he asks you to fight him and hit him a few times. If you don’t have a stun gun, head to the left of where the amnesiac was standing and look on the floor near the wall to find a stun gun. Just pick it up and hit him with it. After that you’ll go through some more dialogue and end up having to fight him again. Beat the amnesiac a second time and you’ll have completed the substory, nabbing yourself a tidy bit of experience in the process.
