WoW Battle for Azeroth: How to Unlock Lightforged Draenei Race

How to Unlock the Lightforged Draenei Race

The World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth expansion is out on August 14, 2018 and with it are coming a variety of allied races to play as. One of the most heavily featured races in Legion were the Lightforged Draenei. This variety of our favourite space Russians are one of the allied races you are able to unlock during the events leading up to the Battle for Azeroth.

To unlock the Lightforged Draenei there are only three steps of increasing difficulty. The first requirement is to hit level 110 on an Alliance character. As Legion came out two years ago at this point it is safe to assume most players have reached this. This will also be required for getting to Argus, where you will continue your journey in unlocking this race.

The next requirement includes acquiring the achievement You Are Now Prepared. While this is a bit more time consuming than just getting to 110, it should be fairly simple for most players. Once you get to Argus you will just have to play through the main questline. This can be completed in roughly two to three hours.

Once you have completed the Argus storyline you will unlock new world quests. These will be instrumental for the final step as you now must put your nose to the grindstone and become exalted with the Army of the Light. This will require days, if not weeks, of grinding out reputation through world quests. To supplement this you may like to keep an eye on your follower mission rotations as you will occasionally be able to earn massive amounts of reputation from the Army of the Light Insignia reward.

After this you will be able to head back to Stormwind and take part in a scenario. Here you will make your return to Argus and the Vindicaar after which you will have unlocked the Lightforged Draenei as a playable race.

That does it for how to unlock the Lightforged Draenei in World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth. Best of luck out there!
