The Binding of Isaac: Repentance Announced Today via Twitter

Fans were greeted by a tweet this morning straight from publisher Nicalis with some vague, yet exciting info. The Binding of Isaac: Repentance has been announced. The tweet featured a video with a teaser trailer for the upcoming game (assuming it’s a game).

In the teaser trailer, we see red text with the title appear followed by a knife stabbing down into the logo. After that, more text is revealed and reads, “#PAXWest2018 Booth 233,” so it will probably be playable at this weekend’s PAX West event. The entirety of the trailer lasts less than 20 seconds and shows nothing else pertaining to the game. It could be a new game, more DLC, or even an animated film, which would be really cool.

Some fans are speculating that this could be the official release of Antibirth, free fan-made mod and expansion for The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, however that has not been confirmed. The wildly successful indie rogue-like released initially in 2011 for PC and has since been brought to many consoles.

Since we don’t have much more information at this time, we will have to wait and see what The Binding of Isaac: Repentance ends up being at PAX West this weekend.
