Overcooked 2: How to Invite Friends

How to Invite Friends in Overcooked 2

Recommended Videos

The first Overcooked was great fun when playing with friends from the comfort of your couch, shouting at each other for being slow or accidentally throwing fully assembled meals in the trash, but it suffered from a lack of online multiplayer options. Now, however, the sequel has released and it brings full multiplayer with it so that you can test your skills together or against each other in the kitchen in parties of up to four. If you want to jump into the online modes, or the local online multiplayer on Switch, you’re going to want to know how to invite friends to your Overcooked 2 game. Well, here’s everything you need to know.

You can invite friends from Overcooked 2’s main menu, where your character is in the food truck. First, press X if you’re on Nintendo Switch, triangle in you’re on PlayStation 4, or Y if you’re on Xbox One, and this will bring up the ‘Play With Friends’ menu. Here, you can choose to Host Friends. Click on that option, it’ll load for a short while, and your game will begin searching for friends. They will then be able to select the Search Friends option from the same menu and they’ll see a option to join your game from a long list of their friends. You will then be able to start a game with the friends in your lobby. You cannot invite friends exactly, but it’s easy to join them using the easy to find friends menu in the bottom right corner of the screen. Also, since you cannot simply join someone who’s not in a game, you cannot suddenly be bombarded by unwanted friends.

That’s all you need to know about how to invite friends and join a friends game in Overcooked 2. For more on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
