Bravely Default Twitter Octopath Traveler

Official Bravely Series Twitter Account Teases a New Announcement

In the wake of Octopath Traveler hitting 1 million copies sold, the official Twitter account for the Bravely series has posted some kind of teaser. The image below was posted with message that read “It’s already been said, but –  Octopath Traveler shipped one million units! Thank you! Alright…… ⁉︎, please pay attention to Square Enix 11th Business Division’s games in the future.”

In addition to the post, the name of the account, in general, has now been changed to “Bravely OOOOO.” In Japanese, those Os signify a blank space that can be filled in with characters. It’s worth noting that there are five blank spaces, which would fit the word Third, but it’s too early to say. For those who don’t know, Business Division 11 helped develop both Bravely games as well as Octopath Traveler, and more specifically Tomoya Asano worked as producer on all three games. We’ve previously written about how Asano and his team, who also worked on Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions, should be given the chance to work on a larger project.

It’s hard to say what exactly the Bravely Twitter is teasing, but it’s most likely either a brand new entry in the series or some kind of port onto the Nintendo Switch.

The last entry in the series was Bravely Second: End Layer on Nintendo 3DS, which released in 2015.

Do you hope to see a new entry in the Bravely series? Would you prefer it to be another 3DS title, or would you rather see it on the Nintendo Switch? Leave a comment below and let us know.
