6 Games Like Realm of the Mad God If You’re Looking for Something Similar

Ah, Runescape, talk about a blast from the past. Chances are, you’ve probably already played this game back in 2004 when it was one of the hottest MMOs back in the day. While not exactly bullet hell, this fantasy role-playing game places you in a large fantasy realm divided by many regions, kingdoms, towns, and cities. Unlike most MMOs nowadays, Runescape doesn’t have a linear storyline but, rather, players follow their own goals and objectives throughout their adventure.

Character customization was one of the game’s biggest selling points, and you also had your own set of skills and abilities in the game. There were many monsters and creatures to fight, and god forbid you enter the Wilderness to kill other players. Just like in Realm of the Mad God, death in Runescape meant losing most of your items, starting you up from scratch once again. If you’re looking for another solid MMO to play, Runescape is definitely on par with what Realm of the Mad God has to offer. Oh, and it’s coming to mobile devices very soon as well.
