Modus Games and developer The Balance are bringing the mech-based brawler Override: Mech City Brawl to consoles this fall with a both physical and physical editions. The fighter features a set of diverse mechs with varying play styles, special moves, and finishers to completely slay your opponents as you march through the city and topple everything your path.
There are 12 different mechs to choose from, with ridiculous proportions, and plenty of 3D arenas to lay waste to, including San Francisco, Tokyo, Mexico, and even Egypt. You can even join up with two to four friends for co-op, where all players take control of one part of an enormous mech for some Power Rangers and Voltron-styled action, which should make for a few interesting situations.
If this sounds like your cup of tea, since there’s no awesome Pacific Rim-themed game we can strap into a mech with, you can check out the game’s closed beta, which is coming up from August 10 through August 12. Sign-ups are available now on the official website, but if you want to pick up the game ahead of its official release, you can pre-order either the regular version or the Super Charged Mega edition, which comes with the Season Pass, four extra mechs, and 16 new skins as well as 12 legendary skins.
