No Man’s Sky has enjoyed somewhat of a second coming thanks to its latest update, NEXT. With a completely overhauled aesthetic, new gameplay mechanics, and the multiplayer component that players had been asking for, it’s a substantially bigger and more accomplished package than at launch. But while NEXT has certainly altered significant portions of the game, the core experience of No Man’s Sky firmly remains on survival and exploration. You’ll certainly still need to scavenge for resources, craft, build, and trade your way across the cosmos. That means finding and understanding various resources is super important. One such resource is Uranium. Here’s how to get Uranium in No Man’s Sky NEXT.

Uranium is a resource common on most planets, though is typically found on “hazardous planets.” There are plenty that have absolutely none of this precious resource at all. Remember that if you’re struggling to find Uranium, it’s often a “secondary” resource that needs to be scanned to locate. You won’t always be able to find it by simply pressing L3 (PS4) for a quick scan.

Not being able to locate Uranium will prove problematic for anyone trying to craft fuel for their spacecraft given that it’s a key ingredient in that process. But if you can’t find it, remember that there is an alternate way to make launch fuel pods. Just locate some di-hydrogen and ferrite dust. You can then go into your inventory to make a sheet of metal, which can then be combined with the di-hydrogen to make fuel pods.

Given Uranium is such a valuable commodity for fuel, make sure you collect it in plentiful supply whenever you do locate a source.

That’s all you need to know about how to get Uranium in No Man’s Sky NEXT. For more useful information, guides, and tips on the game, be sure to check out Twinfinite’s wiki page.
