How to Equip & Use Your Knife in Islands of Nyne
Islands of Nyne is a fast-paced battle royale game in first person view. As such, you’re fighting against a ton of other people on a map and scavenging for weapons. It’s how you’ll be able to secure victory, getting yourself a good arsenal of weapons. But what about when you don’t have any gun and need to mow some enemies down with a melee weapon? You’re going to need to use your knife. Here’s how to do just that!
Your knife (which is gorgeous in this game, by the way) is your close combat ticket to victory! All it takes is to press V to bring it out. To slash away, you press the left mouse button (much like how you’d fire any gun). When you’re done using it, you can press V again, or simply scroll on your mouse wheel. This will lead to you taking out the first weapon you have slotted and equipped. You can, of course, also press the key designated to whatever weapon to immediately equip and use that one.
You’ll need to be really close to use the knife, though, keep this in mind. You’re not going to want to bring a knife to a gun fight! Save this for if someone doesn’t somehow see or hear you behind them. Or maybe in the beginning of the game when no one’s found any firearms to use right away.
