Nintendo Switch Game Release for July 2018

Recommended Videos

It’s shaping up to be yet another exciting month for Switch owners, as there seems to be something for everyone. Whether you’re a fan of JRPGs on the go, or just of Nintendo games in general, there’s something to look forward to.

The two big titles for this month are, without a doubt, Octopath Traveler and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. The former was first revealed last year during Nintendo’s Switch presentation, and it’s a beautiful 2D pixel art JRPG developed by Square Enix. More specifically, it was developed by the team that brought us Bravely Default, which means you can expect at least a half-decent story, beautiful artwork and graphical design, and innovative combat mechanics. Octopath Traveler features a mechanic similar to the Brave and Default system in that players can ‘store’ attacks and execute an extra powerful move later on.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is another big one to look forward to hitting the Nintendo Switch in July. It’s a port of the Wii U game, but this new version features kingdoms in Super Mario Odyssey, and players have to help Toad navigate his way around various levels while avoiding obstacles and uncovering hidden items.

Outside of that, there are tons of other games to look forward to this month coming to the Switch, including Shining Resonance Refrain, The Banner Saga 3, and Go Vacation.
