Yo-kai Watch Blasters: Red Cat Corps and White Dog Squad Coming to 3DS This Fall

Yo-kai Watch is back for another round for western gamers, and this time it’s bringing two new games to play: Yo-kai Watch Blasters: Red Cat Corps and Yo-kai Watch Blasters: White Dog Squad. The games originally launched back in July 2015 in Japan, but now they’ll be making their way to Nintendo 3DS this September.

You’ll be tasked with taking down lots of enemy Yo-kai and bosses as you work with the catlike Jibanyan and his Blasters team across several different missions. It’s a different kind of game than the core Yo-kai Watch titles, as you level up, gather One Orbs to forge new equipment, trade Yo-kai, and collect new ones as well.

You’ll play various different battle roles with each character, including Attacker, Healer, Ranger, and Tank, with over 400 new and returning monsters to collect and train across your time in the game. There are three different, special ones to grab a swell, if you link your data with one version of the Yo-kai Watch 2 games, such as Bony Spirits, Fleshy Souls, or Psychic Specters, as well as two new One Crank-a-kais and Lucky Crank-a-kais for additional chances at hard-to-find items.

You can sit down with these awesome new games on Sep. 7, but for now you can check out the trailer below for a brief glimpse at what’s to come! It’s going to be a very different adventure from the turn-based affairs of the previous games, that’s for sure.
