Promising New Indie Games Shown at E3 2018

Sable is a brand new indie title that was shown off during the PC Gaming Show and it’s being developed by Shedworks. As soon as I saw the gameplay trailer and the synopsis to the story, I immediately thought about the vast and endless deserts that are present in some of the Star Wars films. With a hover bike in tow with this open-ended setting, the possibilities are endless.

Sable is a coming-of-age tale of discovery on an alien planet, which just looks extremely impressive and visually appealing. The structures present and the desert itself looks like a comic book come to life, with hand-drawn animations and all. Exploring this seemingly quiet planet and its history reminds me of something like Journey, but hopefully Sable’s gameplay will be on par with its unique art-style.

Sable will be coming in 2019 to Mac and Windows, and afterwards, will also be coming to consoles.
