Pokemon Quest: What the Shiny Odds Are

What the Shiny Odds Are in Pokemon Quest

Recommended Videos

Pokemon Quest is the latest spin-off title featuring everyone’s favorite pocket monsters. The free-to-play title sees players embarking on fun little adventures around an island with a team of Pokemon, and while you don’t catch them in the same way as you do in a mainline entry in the series, you’ll still need to collect as many as you can. Heck, there are even shiny ‘mon in Pokemon Quest, too. As such, some people have been wondering what the shiny odds are in the game.

Now, in mainline Pokemon titles, it’s believed that the shiny odds are 4096/1 in a regular encounter, which is why they’re so darned hard to get. However, some players have noticed that shiny ‘mon are popping up far more often in the spin-off than this.

Currently, the exact shiny odds for Pokemon Quest seem to be unknown, but many over on Reddit are speculating that the odds could be significantly lower (as low as 50/1 or 100/1) due to the fairly low encounter rate in Quest compared to mainline Pokemon adventures. As soon as we get confirmation on the shiny odds in the game, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know.
