What Pokeball Plus’ Release Date Is
Last week, Nintendo took fans by surprise by dropping a free-to-play Pokemon game, revealing another two titles to drop later this year, told us a mainline Pokemon RPG was coming to Switch in 2019, and also shared its latest peripheral in the form of Pokeball Plus. Don’t worry, this isn’t something you need if you want to play upcoming Pokemon games, it’s instead a neat optional accessory that can heighten the experience for dedicated fans. But enough chat about what it does, many fans are wondering exactly what the Pokeball Plus’ release date is.
Well, fortunately, the Pokeball Plus release date is scheduled for later this year, on Nov. 16. It will release alongside the two upcoming Nintendo Switch titles, Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee, which will be compatible with the accessory.
For those who are unaware of what this peripheral does, it allows players to use it as a Joy-Con when playing on the Nintendo Switch. You can move, battle Pokemon, navigate through the game menus, and obviously catch Pokemon. It also has motion controls built in, meaning you can pretend to throw it to catch a ‘mon on screen (just don’t let go). When the creature is caught, the Pokeball Plus will light up, and you’ll hear the monster’s unique cry, too.
That’s about everything you need to know regarding the Pokeball Plus’ release date for now. If there happens to be a chance to the release date, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know.
