Microsoft Reveals More on Metro Exodus, Shows Off Game Play, Announces February 2019 Release

Today at E3, Microsoft revealed new gameplay for the upcoming Metro title, Metro Exodus, with a trailer made up of in-game footage from a single level.

The game, which is based on the novels by Dmitry Glukhovsky, will follow the events of Metro: Last Light. The game follows Artyom, who flees the Moscow Metro, heading east. So far, we have seen him travelling near the Volga River, near the Ural Mountains.

A release date was also announced for Feb. 22nd, 2019, and the trailer is available to watch down below.

Metro has been a staple in the post-apocalyptic genre, and when Metro Exodus was announced in 2017, people were reasonably excited. The previous game, Metro: Last Light, was very well received by critics and fans alike, garnering high review scores and was even the best selling video game in the United Kingdom when it released.
