Meet a Motley Group of Mutants in New Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden Gameplay Trailer

Funcom’s upcoming Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is an intriguing tactical adventure game with a pretty random and strange cast of characters. You can check out the newest trailer, featuring snippets of gameplay from a talking duck, a boar, a woman with skin like stone, and other bizarre characters who comprise a group of mutants who are tasked with exploring Earth, as it’s reached the end of its life.

The humans have taken a backseat to mutants, who now run the world, and in a mixture of tactical turn-based combat like that seen in titles like XCOM with real-time exploration and stealth, you’ll take on the wilds and figure out how to survive. You’re on a mission to find the legendary Eden, so if you can get that far, at least you know there’s a bright spot in your life to look forward to.

“Of course the world ends, it was just a question of time. Extreme climate change, global economic crisis, a lethal pandemic, and increasing tension between old and new superpowers. For the first time since 1945 nuclear weapons were used in armed conflict. Mushroom clouds rose from east to west before the dust settled. The humans are gone. The Mutants are here.”

The game is making its way to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC this year, so keep an eye out for it and check out the new trailer below.
