PS PLUS FREE GAMES PREDICTIONS FOR JULY 2018

PS Plus, predictions, indies

After the bigger games, usually a couple smaller indies make it to the list as well to offer a bit more variety. For July, we believe Crypt of the Necrodancer would be a great contender for a couple reasons.

Firstly, it is available on both PS4 and PS Vita and from past choices we know Sony loves to include cross-platform titles on PS Plus to make multiple console owners happy at once. As well, Crypt of the Necrodancer is also available on Xbox One and PC but also released somewhat recently onto the Nintendo Switch in February. With it on such a variety of different platforms with a newer release on Switch, it seems more likely Sony might consider offering it for free on their platforms. Secondly, Crypt of the Necrodancer has been on almost every PSN Flash Sale for the last few months indicating Sony is willing to consider it for free if it already is offered for such a consistently low price.

Another likely indie candidate is A Boy and his Blob that came to PSN in 2016 and originally released for the Wii back in 2009. Like Crypt of the Necrodancer, it is available on multiple Sony platforms making it a viable option, as players could download it onto their PS4, PS3, or PS Vita. As well, the game is currently offered at a decently low price of $10 so it wouldn’t be too much of a financial gamble for Sony.

Make sure to check back to Twinfinite in a week or so when the true PS Plus line-up for July 2018 is finally revealed.
