Originally slated to go offline at the start of the year, tons of fans spoke out and showed their love and support for Gravity Rush 2, and this convinced Sony to leave the servers on for another few months. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and the servers will be shutting down next month, on July 18.
Of course, this doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy the single-player campaign any longer. Players just won’t be able to check out the game’s leaderboards, ghost races, and share treasure photos with other players. While the online functionality of Gravity Rush 2 is very limited, it’s still a shame to see that the game has only been out for barely over a year, and it’s already going to go offline by mid-July.
The game is a sequel to Gravity Rush, which originally released as a launch title for the PS Vita, and it follows the story of Kat, an amnesiac girl with the power to control her personal gravity field and fall in whichever direction she wishes.
Gravity Rush 2 is now available on PS4, and you’ll be able to enjoy all the online features until July 18.
