How to Log Out of Fortnite on Nintendo Switch

Fortnite has finally made its way onto the Nintendo Switch this week, bringing the Battle Royale PvP mode to the handheld hybrid masses. While its Save the World mode isn’t coming to the Switch, it’s really the Battle Royale side of the game that’s taken the world by storm. There are times, of course, where the game may have some jitters, though, and you’ll need to log out of Fortnite on Nintendo Switch in order to apply a new update, or reconnect to the servers. So let’s tell you how to do exactly that.

In order to log out of the game on Nintendo’s hybrid, you’ll want to press the Home button on your right Joy-Con, highlight the game’s tile on your home screen, and then press Y to close the app. This will cause you to log out of Fortnite servers on Nintendo Switch, though it’s worth noting you’ll have to reload the game back up.

Outside of this, we haven’t found another method of being able to log out of Fortnite while still keeping the game open.
