Destiny 2: Prestige Raid Lairs Coming in Update 1.2.3

Prestige versions of Destiny 2’s Eater of Worlds and Spire of Stars raid lairs will be going live next month in the game. Update 1.2.3 will bring both of them live when it debuts on Tuesday, July 17.

Prestige level raid lairs utilize a new system of various load outs, with a weekly weapon suite and global activity modifier on board for both Spire of Stars and Eater of Worlds. Weapon sets and modifiers will be the same for both Eater of Worlds and Spire of Stars, at least when the update lands.

Both raid lairs will come with three different activity modifiers that rotate out, with a brand new one as well. The third will be Prism. Completing these raids in Prestige mode will be the only way you’ll be able to get your hands on a 400 power weapon ahead of the September launch of Destiny 2’s new Forsaken expansion. When you complete all the encounters, you’ll get the weapon, which could be taken from any raid weapon in Destiny 2 as a whole.

You’ll only be able to get the weapon before the expansion hits on July 31 during the Summer Solstice event, so if you’ve got it in your sights, better go ahead and jump on it before you lose out on the opportunity.
