Destiny 2 Forsaken Brings Back Prince Uldren as an Enemy

Bungie gave an overview about Destiny 2’s next major expansion, Forsaken, last week. Forsaken brings 9 new supers, a brand new weapon type, new campaign story, and Crucible modes and maps. Gambit, however, is the star of Forsaken, it is an all-new PvPvE mode full of intensity that will test your skills.

During the Sony E3 conference, Bungie delved deeper into the story of Forsaken. The E3 Forsaken story reveal trailer shows Cayde in a pretty bad shape. He is surrounded by rubble and the Barron are slowly making their way towards him. In front of Cayde stand Prince Uldren, the brother to the Queen of the Reef. He was expected to be dead during Taken King, but now it looks like he is the leader of the Barrons.

Uldren, using the Ace of Spades hand cannon, shoots Cayde’s ghost and then shoots Cayde, and helplessly, Cayde lies on the ground. This trailer hints that we may have to save Cayde and defeat Uldren. However, that is wishful thinking. It really seems like Cayde may be dead, without his Ghost he cannot be revived.

However, we do know that the story of Forsaken takes you to the Reef. More specifically, the game will start off in The Tangled Shore where you will battle some of the biggest criminals that are trying to escape the Prison of Elders. Cayde has been filling this prison for ages, so expect him to be by your side through the story.

You will embark on a journey to defeat to eight Barrons are incredibly powerful, and those Barrons are supported by the Scorn. Scorn is a new Fallen faction, and not only do they look new and refreshing but so does their fighting style. Also, different Barons have different ways of fighting, while one Barron may be a skilled sniper the other is a melee master.

The Reef also has the home of the Awoken race called The Dreaming City. The Dreaming City is a majestic, fantastical, and an evolving landscape that will be the location for the new raid. This raid will have more bosses than any raid from the Destiny series and it will be filled with even more eccentric puzzles. Bungie has also created more hidden locations and passageways for players to seek out.

Forsaken arrives on September 4 to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The expansion is priced at $40 USD and with the annual pass, it will be $70 USD.
