How to Fill Canister in Astroneer

Recommended Videos

Astroneer puts players in the depths of space during the 25th century gold rush. You’ll be exploring distant planets and moons with the hopes of striking it rich in space. Luckily, you’ll have access to a wide range of tools that will help you collect the resources you need. One particular item, the canister, can store liquid resources, such as Soil and Hydrazine. If you’re having trouble figuring it out, here’s how to fill the canister in Astroneer.

The process is actually fairly simple once you know how to do it. All you need to do is simply place the item on your backpack and begin mining for the materials you want to fill it with. You’ll see that the canister will begin filling with that particular resource you’re going for. So, if you’re going for soil, all you need to do is start mining dirt and your tool will begin filling up with soil.

Aside from gathering resources, you can use the canister for terraforming (increasing or decreasing the height of the ground), Hydrazine storage, and research in Astroneer. For more tips and tricks on the space game, make sure to search for Twinfinite.
