ARK Mobile: Taming Guide – What You Need to Know

Taming Guide – What You Need to Know in ARK Mobile

Recommended Videos

ARK mobile has a rather steep learning curve, and it’s pretty easy to die if you don’t know what you’re doing. One thing you’ll have to learn early on is how to tame animals in the game. Not only will taming give you a major edge when exploring the island, you’ll also have a better chance of fending off dangerous dinos prowling the area. If you’re new to the game, here’s everything you need to know about taming in ARK mobile.

Before even attempting to tame animals, make sure you’ve cleared through the introductory pursuits first. Once you have everything set up, you should be able to start your quest once you unlock the Level 2 primitive wood club or Level 6 slingshot engrams. When you’ve found your prey, you’ll want to make sure that you don’t kill it, but rather knock them unconscious instead. The slingshot is great for knocking out dinos from a distance, so beginners in ARK mobile are better off using that weapon than a close-ranged club when taming. Needless to say, you’ll want to position yourself atop a cliff or an area where the animal won’t lash out at your in self-defense when you tame them.

Once the creature is knocked out, tap and hold the dinosaur to open its inventory menu. You’ll want to drag food in its inventory as a way to sway them to your side in ARK mobile. Each animal has their own preference for food, so keep that in mind when you have a certain creature you want to tame. Luckily, you won’t need any references to find out what food they like since they’ll display their favorite meal when you highlight them without a weapon. This feature is exclusive to ARK mobile, so make the most out of it to tame as many creatures as you can.

That’s basically the gist of taming in ARK mobile. For more tips and tricks on the game, make sure to search for Twinfinite.
