Is Wizard of Legend Coming to Nintendo Switch?
Wizard of Legend is the first Steam game released by indie developer Contingent99. It’s a 2D rogue-like dungeon crawler that appeared on Kickstarter on June 21, 2016, and amassed over $72,000 in funding. Its Steam page describes Wizard of Legend as an “action-packed take on wizardry that emphasizes precise movements and smart comboing of spells in a rogue-like dungeon crawler that features over 100 unique spells and relics!” Wizard of Legend seems to be doing pretty well on Steam; as of the time of writing, the game is currently sporting a “very positive” rating, with over 350 reviews. That all sounds well and good, but what if you don’t own a gaming PC, and just want to kick back and play the game on your TV, or perhaps on a 6.2-inch capacitive multitouch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels that sits in the palm of your hand? I am of course talking about the Nintendo Switch.
Indie games are receiving a good amount of success on the Nintendo Switch, so will Contingent99 be bringing the game to the console? The answer to that question is yes, but it’s not a matter of the game “coming” to Switch, it’s already there! Wizard of Legend released on the Switch the same day it did on PC – May 15. It is currently residing on the Recent Releases section of the Switch eShop, and can be purchased for $15.99. So go grab your Switch, queue the game for download, and prepare to become a wizard, Harry (or whatever your name is).
That’s all you need to know about whether or not Wizard of Legend is available on the Nintendo Switch. For more on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
