Getting Shiny Pokemon in Pokemon Quest
Shiny Pokemon have always been seen as rare and valuable finds in the series, and they make an appearance in Pokemon Quest as well, which was just released for the Nintendo Switch and will be coming to mobile devices in late June. If you’re a longtime fan of the series, you probably already know that shiny Pokemon are incredibly rare to come by, and that’s absolutely the case with this game. However, from all reports, the shiny appearance rate seems to be higher in Pokemon Quest than in previous games.
First off, the only way to get a shiny is by attracting Pokemon to your base camp through the cooking process. Go to your base camp by tapping the yellow button in the bottom right corner of the screen, then tap on the cooking pot to put in five ingredients. After that, you can either go do expeditions while waiting for the meal to be ready or spend PM Tickets to speed up the process. Either way, once the meal is ready, a random Pokemon will show up at your camp. This Pokemon has a chance to be shiny. If it’s not, you’ll have to try cooking another meal.
