PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Introduces Desert Knights Event Mode For The Weekend

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds’ event mode this weekend is Desert Knights, a variation of War Mode, the game’s version of Team Deathmatch.

Respawns are enabled in this mode, which features up to 10 five-player squads in a limited part of the map. The goal of the mode is to be the first squad to reach 200 points, or have the most points after 15 minutes of gameplay. Three points are awarded for each kill, with knocks, or causing an opponent to start bleeding out, being worth one point. Knocking or killing your own teammates lowers your team’s score by five points.

The major difference between the traditional War Mode and Desert Knights is that this weekend players will spawn into the map with high-level loot already in their inventory. Each spawn will give you a level three helmet and vest, two grenades, and a random care package weapon. The game mode will only be available on Miramar, PUBG’s desert map.

Other traditional War Mode changes such as faster bleedout and revive speed remain in Desert Knights. The safe zone is also a bit bigger than it has previously been in War Mode, but still doesn’t move or close in.

The game mode starts Thursday at 10 p.m. ET and will go until Sunday at 10 p.m. ET.
