Owlboy’s limited collector’s edition, which was just announced last week, is out this July. The upcoming set will be available in stores for both PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, as publisher Soedesco has confirmed. If that’s something that strikes your fancy, you’ll want to jump to it — there will only be 6,000 units available worldwide, making this a verifiably limited release rather than one that just says so on the box — Bulletstorm, we’re looking at you.
The Owlboy limited edition includes the base game on the console of your choice, a limited edition box, and a smattering of items, according to Soedesco:
- Base game for Nintendo Switch or PlayStation 4
- Certificate of authenticity with a unique Limited Edition number
- Original soundtrack, physical copy featuring the majestic Owlboy sounds
- Notebook for logging all your adventures
- Manual full of useful information about the game
- Two pins, one of the game logo and one of main character Otus
- Two metal coins inspired by the collectible “Buccanary coins” in the game
- Pin box to safely store your pins and coins
- Sticker sheet with seventeen magnificent stickers
If that all sounds too flashy for you, you can look forward to picking up the regular physical release, which will be up for grabs on PlayStation 4 and Switch on May 29.
