The Nintendo Switch has picked up plenty of attention since it launched back last year. While it isn’t as strong as its other console competitors, part of the console’s popularity lies with its handheld form. Not only can you play it docked on a TV, but you can take your games with you on the go. It seems like Nintendo is taking advantage of its handheld form in Japan by announcing a new dockless set.
Named as the “Switch 2nd Unit Set,” this bundle comes with only the unit, two Joy-Cons, and the Joy-Con straps for 24,980 yen, or roughly 225 USD. This new package is 5,000 yen cheaper than the original bundle which includes a Joy-Con grip, AC adapter, HDMI cable, and the dock.
The Switch 2nd Unit Set is available to order through the My Nintendo Store. Customers can even customize their Joy-Con colors, which is a neat bonus. As the name implies, this bundle is perfect if you’re looking to buy a second console or if you just like playing in handheld mode.
Nintendo hasn’t stated whether this Switch set will be coming to the west. Check out the bundle below:
