Arc System Works has announced that they will be porting the very first Guilty Gear game to the PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. To celebrate the game’s 20th anniversary, ArcSys has decided to bring over the first game from the fighting game franchise.
The first game originally released back on the PlayStation in 1998. Back then, the game featured only 10 characters, including series icons Sol Badguy, Ky Kiske, and Chip Zanuff. It’s worth noting that they previously re-released the game back in 2009 for the PlayStation 3, PSP, and PS Vita. ArcSys has yet to give a release date for the upcoming port, so fans will just have to wait for more details about this.
Incidentally, the company will also be bringing over Accent Core Plus R to the Switch sometime soon. They are also working on their crossover fighting game, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle, which is slated to launch next month.
We’ll keep you updated with more news about the Guilty Gear port as more details surface. Check out some gameplay here.
