How to Delete Apps on iPhone 8 & iPhone X
With so many different games and apps on modern phones, it’s easy to quickly run out of storage, even with having a huge amount of storage space. At some point, you’ll no doubt want to delete any unused apps, or anything you just don’t need anymore. Luckily it’s incredibly easy to do just that, and both iPhone 8 and iPhone X use the same methods for deleting apps that previous versions did.
There are basically two ways of deleting apps, one using the home screen and the other by going into settings. The easiest way of deleting apps is simply by turning on your phone and heading to the home screen. Tap and hold on the app you want to delete and the icon will start shaking, with a little X appearing on the top left. Hit the X and you’ll be asked if you want to delete the app or not, select yes. If no X appears when you tap and hold, it means you might have turned off restrictions for deleting apps. To fix this simply head to Settings > General > Restrictions > Enable Restrictions > then turn on Deleting Apps.
While this is the easiest way of deleting apps you can also do it from settings, by heading to your Settings menu and then selecting General. Tap iPhone storage then scroll down and find the app you want to delete. Tap on it, and then scroll down and you should see a Delete App option in red, so just select it.
That’s all there is to deleting apps on your iPhone 8 and iPhone X, so make sure to keep plenty of storage room open for anything new you might download.
