While the Microsoft console has gotten a handful of impressive new games this month, things pale in comparison when it comes down to the Xbox One kids games. Like with March and April, there aren’t many releases this month for kids to look forward to. Nonetheless, don’t let that distract you from the fact that there are still some new games that they can enjoy. Let’s take a look at some of the new Xbox One kids games for May 2018.

First off, we have Super Mega Baseball 2 which, as the name implies, is all about grabbing that bat and scoring some home runs. It’s true the game doesn’t feature any of the licensed teams or players from MLB: The Show, but we’ve got a kooky cast to make up for it. The athletes have some pretty silly models, and it’s adorable watching them zoom around the field.

Despite its lighthearted visuals, however, Super Mega Baseball 2 offers a solid take on hardball. There aren’t any exaggerated swings nor flaming baseballs – things stay true to the real sport, for the most part. The sports game offers just enough zest but keeps itself lodged on the ground for a good hardball experience.

Kids can also look forward to the heap of Sega games with the Sega Mega Drive Classics. This collection offers a variety of classic games from the Sega Genesis, ranging from Sonic the Hedgehog to Wonder Boy in Monster World. On top of that, the Sega Mega Drive Classics also offers a modern convenience by allowing players to save their progress at any time, rewind any slip-ups you might have made, and even lets you customize your controls. The Sega collection is a real blast from the past, serving as a great way for kids to learn more about classic gaming.

Rounding out our list, here are all of the best Xbox One Kids Games of May 2018:

  • Super Mega Baseball 2
  • Sega Mega Drive Classics
