Sonic Mania

Sonic Mania Plus Speeds to Nintendo Switch This Summer

Sonic Mania Plus is just around the corner. If you missed out on (or skipped) Sonic Mania because you had some sort of inkling there’d be something better coming around the corner, then you can check out an enhanced version of the game this July.

Sonic Mania Plus will come packing additional special content, such as Encore Mode with special remixed stages and the new four-player Competition Mode in which you can go head to head with all your friends. But you also get two new charactes: Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel, so if you thought this was just a simple “enhanced” port with nothing new to add to the mix, that’s where you’re wrong.

But say you did already pick up Sonic Mania. You won’t be out the entire amount to pick up the game. If you want to upgrade digitally, you can drop just $4.99 to get the new version. If you opt for the physical version, however, you’ll also get a special 32-page collector’s artbook, reversible Sega Genesis cover, and holographic packaging for $29.99. If you’re a Sonic fan, this is a fantastic deal, to be sure. Make sure you keep an eye out for the game when it drops on July 17.
