Fortnite: What Meteors Do

What Meteors Do in Fortnite Battle Royale

Well, it’s finally happened. The meteors have begun raining down on the map of Fortnite Battle Royale, and while the comet continues to linger overhead, some players are wondering exactly what the meteors crashing down into the map actually do.

The long and short of it is, they’re just destroying anything they come into contact with. If they crash into a building, they destroy whatever wall, roof, or tile that they hit. From what we can see, they don’t drop anything or give you any special weapon, item, or boost in Fortnite Battle Royale. However, with the comet still overhead and the UFO still lingering nearby it, there’s a chance this is just the start of the space-themed event to round off Fortnite Battle Royale’s season 3.

As soon as we find out more about the meteors in Battle Royale, we’ll be sure to let you know. In the meantime, however, get on that Battle Bus and check them out for yourself. It’s a pretty neat sight to behold after all that time we spent waiting.

It’s worth noting, however, that the meteors don’t seem to be falling in every game and all over the map. So far, it seems as though they’re dropping inconsistently in games and in random places across the map, so it might take a while for you to see meteors in Fortnite Battle Royale.

That’s all you need to know about the meteors in Fortnite Battle Royale. For more on the game, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki.
